Job Description
Janitor/Custodian will perform custodial duties, minor maintenance and other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure that buildings and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner. Responsibilities include performing standard janitorial duties including dusting, detailing, vacuuming, sanitizing, waxing, buffing and stripping floors, and cleaning restrooms, common areas, and windows.

Experience working as a janitor performing the above listed responsibilities, as well as other duties as requested

Qualified candidates will have knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products, and equipment; the workplace; and Hazardous Materials Information System.

Must have Floor Care (Stripping and Waxing, Deep Scrubbing, Grout Cleaning), Carpet Restoration (Spotting, Deep Scrubbing, Bonnet Cleaning, Extraction and Rinse), Marble Care (Marble Grinding and Crystallization), General Cleaning (Power Washing, Window Cleaning, High Dusting, Bright Work) and Restroom Cleaning and Sanitation.

Must also have the ability to read and understand labels and instructions, particularly on the use and application of cleaning chemicals and products, and work under little supervision

Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
